Default Auto Text Help Needed

We are 2 users on a Windows XP OS and using Word 2003. When I start a
new document I View the Header and Footer. I then switch to the Footer
and using the Insert Auto Text drop down menu on the Header Footer
toolbar I select Author, Page #, Date. This inserts my name, the page #

and the date into the footer. My name is on the left, the page # is
centered and the date is right justified. This is all fine.

When the other user logs on and starts Word and attempts to do the same

thing the Insert Auto Text drop down menu does not contain the ability
to choose Author, Page# Date. This entry is just not there. How do we
add this option to that drop down menu.

thanks for any and all help.

I would start by closing Word. Find the other users Normal.dot file.
Rename it NormalOld.dot then restart Word logged on as that user.

This will generate a default Normal.dot template which should contain
all the default AutoText entries.

Open Control Panel. ToolsFolder OptionsViewShow hidden files and
folders.

The file is most likely located in C:\Documents and Settings\User
Name\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates.
