Does anyone know how to get the spell check to operate? Sounds dumb, but I
have done all the settings, manual and automatic but it still doesn't
recognize misspelled words, and I am in a text box not an Art box. I have
also tried to find the "check all stories" box but have had no success as of
yet.

Thanks, Dan.

Dan,

I'm not sure on this but I think you need Word installed on your computer
and Publisher uses the Word Spell checker.

Check that the Language is set to English(US). Click in any text box, and
then Tools-- Language -- Set Language. That will set the language for the
entire document.
