Default Odd refresh problem

Hello,

I am using Access 2002 (10.2627.2625). I have a form that contains a subform. The subform is not bound to the main form; that is, the subform will always display all entries in the table it manages, regardless of the entry upon which the main form is focused. There are three things I wish to do: 1) sort the main form by organizing the entries in alphabetical order, based on the "full name" field in each entry; 2) refresh the main form periodically; and 2a) when I refresh, the subform must remain focused on the entry I have selected. Example: The main form is on entry 10, and the subform is on entry 15. When I refresh the main form, the main form must still be on entry 10, and the subform must still be on entry 15.

If the main form is unsorted, then refreshing it will not cause the subform to lose focus on the current entry; but if the main form is sorted, refreshing it will cause the subform to change its focus to the first entry. Is this a bug that is fixed in one of the service packs, or am I causing the problem somehow?

Thanks in advance,
Bryan
