Default book fold printing

I have the document set to bookfold, landscape, letter size paper and the
Brother printer properties set to bookfold and the document prints 4 small
pages on the face of one actual page. What setting is wrong? I have tried
setting the printer to normal, duplex and bookfold with no different results.

Well, you can print a booklet from Word or from your printer, but you should
not be doubling up on the settings. Word's "Book fold" setting is designed
to print a booklet using the normal, everyday, default printer settings. You
would have to consult your printer documentation to know what the printer's
booklet setting does, but it should NOT be used in conjunction with Word's
booklet feature.

I set the printer to normal on all settings and the document printed normal
portrait even though word 2007 setting was on landscape

Did you select "Book fold" in Word's Page Setup? You should be getting two
portrait pages on one landscape sheet.

It should not be changing the font size if you're actually using "Book
fold." If you use the "2 pages per sheet" setting in Word's Print dialog,
then the pages are reduced. The same will probably be true if you use your
printer's booklet feature to make a booklet from a Letter/A4 document. Same
for Adobe Reader's booklet feature for PDFs.

only problem now is font size...it is set at 14 in the document and looks
like it's printing at about 8.

As I pointed out in a previous reply, this should NOT be happening if
you're actually using "Book fold."
