2007 column chart theme colors via VBA
I'm creating a column chart with 20 pairs of series. Because there are so
many series (2x20==40), I've done it quickly with VBA. What I haven't figured out is how to use "theme colors" to set the fill color for each series with VBA. Ideally each pair would use the same color but with two different shades (is that even the correct term?). Is there a guide somewhere that explains how to work with theme colors in this setting? I suppose I'm not necessarily tied to theme colors, but it would be nice (so users could change the theme, I suppose). Thanks in advance! |

Hi,
Try this for a starting location and look under the Chart topic http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb332345.aspx -- If this helps, please click the Yes button. Thanks, that's a neat chart but I'm really looking for some guidance as to
where in the object model I need to be and what a best practice might be. "Intuitive Analyst" wrote: I'm creating a column chart with 20 pairs of series. The descriptions and examples behind this object model map are terribly
unhelpful, even my Microsoft standards. I have asked for more descriptive descriptions and more relevant examples, and so have many other users, to no avail. I'm in the middle of a project that I can't finish without figuring this out. Hopefully I'll have material for a blog post soon. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Peltier Technical Services, Inc. http://PeltierTech.com/WordPress/ _______ "Intuitive Analyst" wrote in message ...
