Default Chart missing in new sheet

Here's my problem:
I can create a chart on an existing worksheet and it will work fine. If I
try to move the chart to it's own sheet, the chart disappears and all the
buttons on the ribbon are greyed out. All I see on the sheet is a blank, grey
area. The same thing happens when I try to create a new chart using the
insert context menu on the sheet tabs. Could anyone tell me what could be my
problem?
Thanks in advance

Hi,

I'm not 100% clear on your question, but if you are in 2003 and the chart is
on a Sheet, then click the chart and choose the command Chart, Location, As
new sheet, and name the sheet or leave the default Chart1. There is also a
Location command on the context menu.

problem is resolved

I had just prior done an upgrade from office professional 2007 to Office
ultimate 2007 and one of the office printer drivers caused the print spooler
to crash - the chart applicaion obviously depends on the print spooler and it
wouldn't work.

Ok, I'm having the same problem. I can't even print from any printer
(PDFMaker, XPS, three HP printers in my network). I just activated my H&S
Office 2007 application after using OpenOffice for two months. How can I
repair the print spooler?

I've just found the problem. The Comodo anivirus wasn't allowing the
splwow64.exe process to run! In the process window the splwow64.exe appeared
as "running", but in the Commodo log viewer an event was registered each time
I tried to print.

Now I can print and see the Excel charts in its own sheet.
