Default want to show an Icon

I am writing a user manual for an access database and would like to
place a picture of the filter by selection icon in the document. I can
not find a picture of this or figure out how to place this icon in the
document. Is this even possible? I use office 2000.

Hi chopper4116

There are several free or shareware programs that can extract icons from
..exe and .dll files. Try searching for one in the usual places (cnet.dom,
tucows.com, zdnet.com etc). I've used Icon Sucker successfully. Get it to
look through the access executables to extract the icon. You can then coy
and paste it into your Word document.

However, bear in mind the rules at http://www.microsoft.com/permission/.

Hope this helps.

Even simpler - whilst in Access - Tools customize select the tool copy
the button image to the clipboard paste into Word.

Even better - consider purchasing a copy of SnagIt. This is a supremely
versatile screen grabber, for which icons are child's play. You'll get the
measure of some of the things it can do by looking at the graphics on my web
page tutorials, all of which were handled by SnagIt. SnagIt is linked from
the favourites page of my site.
