sure... put the *.wav file in c:\windows\media and it will show up in the
list. anywhere else on a local hard drive and you have to use the browse button on that sounds tab to get it assigned to the sound event. "geofg" wrote in message ... Is it possible to change the "mail received" sound in Outlook
If I'm running both Windows Live and MS Outlook 2007 on the same computer,
how can I have separate sound files for mail arrival? I don't want them to use the same sound file for message arrivals. Is it possible to change the "mail received" sound in Outlook
Yes, but the question was "how" ;-)
They both use the default Windows sounds and don't have an in-application option to change the sound clip. In Outlook you can disable the default sound and then use a rule to play a specific sounds.
