Outlook 2007 - Dist List - Cannot see Members w/o email
I have created a comprehensive Contacts database for a small business. I
then created a Distribution List of these contacts. My conundrum is that contacts in the db without e-mail addresses do not appear in the Members list so that I can add them to the DL. They appear in the Contracts db, just as I've entered them, when I search it. I'm a reasonably savvy Outlook user and this one little [non-intuitive] thing is frustrating. I feel like this is a matter of a simple setting. Appreciate any direction as to how I can get these contacts into the DL. Thank you. |

A distribution list is for sending EMAILS - how can you send an EMAIL to a contact that has no EMAIL address? |

What is the conundrum? That would be the expected behavior. Why would you
need a member in a DL to whom you cannot send a message? Makes no sense. -- Russ Valentine "RMCrane" wrote in message ... I have created a comprehensive Contacts database for a small business. Excuse me, gentlemen; apparently my inquiry was over intuitive. The database
is ALSO used as an export source for MAILINGS - as in USPS. But no matter, I have resolved the issue by another means within the DL. Thanks anyway. "Russ Valentine" wrote: What is the conundrum? Over intuitive? Hardly.
DL's never contain the information you need for snail mail. That would only reside in your Contacts Records. -- Russ Valentine "RMCrane" wrote in message ...
