Default Setting outlook to a Microsoft exchange server

I am running Vista and am getting an error message The action cannot be
comleted. THe connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must
be online or connected to complete this action.

So I had some one login from another computer with my password and they had
no problem loggin into the exchange server. So something on my end.
I have been able to login via POP-3 server but, i do not get my contacts and
can't send e mails.

thanks Craig
