Updating table with new information
I have a form we use for data entry and we enter new patients onto
it. For every new patient there has to be an account number entered in a field before you can go to a blank form to start a new patient. Until we know the correct account number we just make up numbers like 111 or 222 or 333 until the next day when we can enter the right number. So when the next day comes and we change that fake number to the correct one, the information that was entered does not stay with the patient. It stays with the fake number. So basically I am trying to figure out how to update this number field in a particular table whenever a change is made. Any ideas? |

Updating table with new information
Sounds like we have more than one table involved here and the account number
is being used as a primary or foreign key to relate some tables. We would need to know that schema of the tables involved to be able to answer this question. -- Dave Hargis, Microsoft Access MVP "Lisa" wrote: I have a form we use for data entry and we enter new patients onto it.
