Need help with printing from Access!
I am VERY new to Access; the previous person at my office set up Access to
print out end of year donation letters. I was able to edit the donation letter but cannot print all of them out. When I print out a periodic summary (in reports) and use the dates 01-01-08 to 12-31-08 all of the people who donated during 2008 (approx 400) are listed. However when I try to print out the actual letters (in reports) using the same dates only 38 letters come up. I have no idea what to do - I have never worked in Access before and am "learning while doing." Can anyone please help? It is very much appreciated |

It sounds like you are using an application that was developed by somebody.
If so, you might try fishing around for any instructions, notes, etc. (in the screens, on paper etc.) that relate to what you are trying to do. Otherwise I think that you are missing too many things to come up with a quick answer...on this forum or otherwise. You'l probalby need to get several hours of help from somebody who knows Access well to figure out what you have and how it works. |

Need help with printing from Access!
Without knowing how the db was set up, it is very difficult to diagnose -
but, I would first try to reduce your date range to months (1/1/08 - 1/31/08) and see how many letters are printing. Damon "Carra" wrote in message ... It would seem that there is an error in the report, or in the query upon which the letter report is based. You'll need to fix this error to get the reports. Are the "actual letters" printed from an Access Report? If so, open the Report in design view; view its Properties; find the "Record Source" property on the data tab. It should be a query (again, I can't see it so I don't know what this person did!). If it's a query, click the ... icon by the property to open the query design window; select View... SQL; and post the cryptic SQL text to a message here. -- John W. Vinson [MVP] |
