Default Office 2000 small business HELP

My office 2000 program will not open any files after upgrading to windows 7
It starts then tells me it cannot access the file will look for a soloution
but never finds one.
Will the upgrade for 2007 office suite small business work with out problems
or do I have to buy the new program for 450.00 versus the upgrade for around
250.00.
I don't want to purchase the upgrade and have problems. But I don't want
to spend twice the money on the entire new program either.
Will my old files open and work with either the upgrade or the new program,
such as publisher, and word labels ect...
Thanks

You are in the wrong forum for this problem. Office 2000 Small Business
doesn't include Access.

Which Office 2000 program - Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, ...? There is no
"office program" per se.

That should not be necessary. All of the Office 2000 suite programs work fine
under Windows 7 - as far as that goes, Word 1.0 and Access 2.0 would work fine
under Windows 7. Microsoft is incredibly patient with backwards compatibility.

There are many good reasons to upgrade, but the lack of an upgrade is NOT what
is causing your problem. Please repost your question in a Windows 7 forum with
more details (which program you're using, where your files are located, what
you upgraded from, the exact text of the error message).
