Default If I buy a new computer may I switch the license to the machin

i tried to switch from my main comp to my laptop by uninstalling it first
then typing the product key into my laptop trial and after i finish typing it
says its incorrect even though I've checked it a couple of times

Is this an OEM version? Are you typing in the OFFICE key, or the WINDOWS
key? (The two are often confused.......)
