Default Drop_down list box and Combo box

Sounds like a homework question. Have you tried looking in Word's Help?

Default Drop_down list box and Combo box

A simple Google search brought up these two definitions:

The dropdown list box is a field with an arrow icon on the right side.
Clicking on this icon drops down a list immediately below the field and
shows the user which values can be chosen. An entry in the list is called
list box item. The dropdown list box is read-only.

A combo box is a commonly-used GUI widget. It is a combination of a
drop-down list or list box and a single-line textbox, allowing the user
either to type a value directly into the control or choose from the list of
existing options. An example of this use is the address bar of graphical web
browsers. Combo boxes are typically applied to provide autocomplete or
autotype functionality in a convenient way to the user.
