Default symbols . . .

at the top of my new mail in outlook express I know the paper clip means
attachments but I saw a red flag on one of the messages tonight and wondered
what that meant. Is the first symbol a microphone? Just confused and was so
pleased for help on another issue that I thought I would try on this one now.
Thanks for supporting a newcomer.

As "marrie" says, this isn't really a Word question, but I'll try to answer
it. If you right-click on any of the column headings and choose Columns...,
you'll see a list of check boxes. You can experiment with these to see what
symbol they produce (and also see which ones are already displayed). There
is one labeled "Flag," and I have no idea what that does except that there
is a Flag Message command on the Message menu; probably you can flag a
message to call your attention to it. I don't see anything that looks like a
microphone; perhaps it is the exclamation point for Priority?
