Outlook 2003 cause Outlook 2000 to hang on exit
Hi,
I am upgrading to Outlook 2003. We are using an Exchange 2000 Server. I am testing Outlook 2003 on a separate computer using my personal mailbox. This is the only common part (no roaming profile, for instance). The trouble is that now, when I exist Outlook 2000 from my regular computer, Outlook will hang. It will stay on the "splash" screen saying that Outlook is closing. I have to kill Outlook as well as Mapi32. Is this situation familiar to somebody ? How to fix it ? Will it be the same for other users ? (This can be a concern during the transition period.) Thanks. --Richard. |

Diane,
Thanks for your answer. I am amazed that I missed that article. (And when I am in big troubles with Outlook, I always check "Slipstick" first...) I tried the "/cleanfreebusy" trick. With no luck. Upgrading over a thousand of computer to Outlook 2003, I not very happy to have to first update my Office 2000 administration point to ensure a smooth period of transition... well.... --Richard.
