Loss of sorting in folder.

I have WindowsXP & Word2003.

One of my folders does not keep its sort order, and whenever
I open it all the files are randomly arranged. Then I have
to manually sort them again.

Also, when I right-click, the little sorting dialogue lacks
its tick indicator.

Please help, Frank
