Default yearly calendar

I am in need of creating a yearly calendar. I want a 24"x36" poster with
jan-dec 2008 visible. Plus I need to enter data for events and appointments.
Am I able to do this with Publisher? Or do I need to use another program?
I tried to change the time frames plus the page set up, but when I change it
to poster size, it makes each month poster size. Any suggestions?

What version Publisher? The below instructions will not work for 2007.

Use a Design Gallery calendar. Setup your page, Arrange menu, grid guides, 3
columns, 4 rows. Select your calendar, click the wand, change the date range to
January, 2008, resize to fit. Copy, paste, change the date range to February,
adjust the position. And so on.

You will have to adjust font sizes if you want to type special dates. It sounds
time consuming but it really isn't.

In 2007 you can create a new Design Gallery calendar 12 times, there is no
wizard wand.
