excel.exe program error
I have a spread sheet that I'm running macro's in, and it
keeps coming up with the error message "excel.exe has generated errors and will be shut down by windows. An error log is being generated." Is there a way to tell if something in the macro is corrupt, or how to fix this problem? Thanks! |

excel.exe program error
Dawn,
First, open the workbook with Macros disabled. Then go into the VBA Editor and attempt a "Compile". This may or may not turn up any errors. If that doesn't work, enter the following as the very first line above "every" module (regular, worksheet, UserForm, etc.) Option Explicit. The above will force you to declare your variables. Try another compile after this and correct any errors that come up. Last but not least, download Rob Bovey's Code Cleaner. http://www.appspro.com/utilities/utilities.asp Try the first two steps to eliminate any obvious errors before using the Code Cleaner. After that use the Code Cleaner religiously (it's helped me cure a lot of problems with my own coding).
