Default Shared Tasks and early reminders

Hi,
I have recently upgraded 170 users to Office 2003. Currently its working a treat, one query i have is that when, in outlook, you create a task in another users Shared tasks folder with the reminder enabled, the reminder pops up immediately for the other user, regardless of the date of the reminder.

I have written a small program that uses tasks and reminders extensively and this worked well in Office XP. but with this feature/problem in 2003 it is rendered fairly useless.

Does anyone know wether this is by design or is a problem, and is there anything i can do?

We are running exchange 2000 on the back end. all win2k PC's and 2k servers.

Thanks a lot,

Adam

Hello, A client of mine is experiencing a storage reminder problem with
Tasks that are initially created in a PF and then copied to a mailbox.
It only happens to tasks created by one particular user. I have run
out of ideas to resolve this and was hoping for some inspiration from
the worldwide community out there...

Problem Description

After creating a Task in a Public Folder with a reminder some time in
the future and then copying this Task to a local mailbox Tasks folder,
the reminder pops up immediately even though it is not due to pop up
for several weeks.

Notes

* This only happens for tasks created by one particular user and
doesn't matter whose mailbox Tasks folder they are then copied to.
* This server/network runs Outlook CRM (www.teamscope.com) - this is
where the problem was originally noticed as Outlook CRM creates/assigns
tasks in a PF and then synchronises to the mailbox Tasks folder
depending upon who is assigned the Task. Subsequent testing of
manually creating (i.e. not using Outlook CRM features at all) a Tasks
PF and then creating a Task with a future reminder still exhibits the
same symptoms
* No problem with reminders if just creating a task in the users
mailbox, the problem is only there if the Task is created in a PF first
and then copied/moved to the mailbox Tasks folder.
* The Server is a Dell PowerEdge 1600SC running Windows Server 2003
Small Business Premium Edition

Troubleshooting steps taken so far that have not yielded any progress

* Deleted and recreated the MAPI profile on the problem workstation, no
change.
* Use a different workstation (no roaming Windows profiles enabled), no
change.
* Deleted the Windows user account and Exchange mailbox (including
PURGE of mailbox from Dumpster) and then created a brand new
user/mailbox. For all intents and purposes, this is a brand new user
account just as if this were a new employee.
* Ran isinteg (output below) on PF Store to check for problems, most
appeared okay.
* Ran eseutil to defrag PF Store, no errors all up and running again;
problem still occurs.

ISINTEG Output
