Can't join
I have an A2007 backend db (recently converted from A2003) with a new simple
tables. tblWOTasks is a list of tasks needed to be completed on a work order. Only a few fields: ID Primary Key WorkOrderID Lookup item linked to Work Order table by its primary key TaskDescription Description of a task TargetHours Goal of hours to be worked on that task TargetCCD Goal of completion date for the task I created this tables in a "sandbox" for testing. When I imported the tables into the production backend, I didn't pay any attention to relationships for awhile. Now, I'm noticing that there is no relationship shown in the relationship window between tblWOTasks and the WorkOrder table. No problem, I went to insert the relationship but it won't let me. I get a circle with a slash through it. I need to set referential integrity, and cascading deletes. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to start from scratch? It wouldn't be too hard. No data yet. -- Jim |

Run an Unmatched query on tblWOTasks and WorkOrder tables to see where you
have records that do not have a relationship. Then create the records in the other table. -- KARL DEWEY Build a little - Test a little "JimS" wrote: I have an A2007 backend db (recently converted from A2003) with a new simple tables. tblWOTasks is a list of tasks needed to be completed on a work order. I bludgeoned it to death. I recreated the table that wouldn't join. That
worked. -- Jim "JimS" wrote: Both tables are empty -- Jim "KARL DEWEY" wrote: Run an Unmatched query on tblWOTasks and WorkOrder tables to see where you have records that do not have a relationship.
