Default Unknown file extensions

I sometimes download graphic files from Newsgroups by means of Outlook
Express and save them in the Pictures folder under My Documents.

Lately I have noticed two new files with unknown extensions in the Pictures
folder, for example SCGRD244.PV0 and SCGRD244.PV1. Both files are 2.029MB.
One can delete these files but they keep on reappearing.

I have looked everywhere but can not find any information on PV? extensions.
Does anybody know anything about it?

Thanks
John Louis

Do you have some sort of 3rd party program that is generating this =
files? Try going to Start | Run and disable all startup items and =
reboot. Then delete them and see if they come back again. I suspect =
they are not image files, but some sort of config or other files. SCGRD =
sounds like some sort of program that is running.
