Please see query statement below:

String$(1,40) & Left$([SQLIS_PROVMISC]![FAXNBR],3) & String$(1,41) &
Space$(1) & Mid([SQLIS_PROVMISC]![FAXNBR],4,3) & String$(1,45) &
Right([SQLIS_PROVMISC]![FAXNBR],4)

Hi,
My guess is because the [SQLIS_PROVMISC]![FAXNBR] is null.
