Default problem importing to another computer

i have outlook 2000 on my main computer and on my laptop. i've been trying to transfer my contacts to my laptop, but i'm not having much luck. i exported the contacts file from my main computer onto a floppy and attempted to import it on my laptop. i can hear it reading the file, but nothing appears in contacts. i also tried just opening the file from the floppy, but still nothing appears.

what am i doing wrong?

Don't export. Just create a PST and copy your contacts into it.
Then move that PST onto your other hard drive, remove its read only
attribute, then open it in Outlook.
