First-time Publisher user. Downloaded friend's Publisher
document. Can't figure out how to edit the text. Help,
please!

You click inside the text box (the area where the text is located) and just
type or delete or whatever.

I've tried that, but it seems to be locked up. I can't activate any text box or get a cursor. Thanks, anyway.

It might be on the master document background. What happens if you go to
View Background...can you edit the text boxes?

Look at the file name. Does it end with .pub ?

It might be on the master document background.
Thanks, everybody. I think I accidentally solved the problem by re-saving the document and gaining access to the new, editable version.

Accidently or on purpose doesn't matter. What matters is that you can edit
the file. :-)
