On MOST Microsoft pages, but ALWAYS on Office Discussion pages, there is this
"option" at the top left to "Click Here to Install Silverlight". It is
confusing to me because it seems like something I SHOULD do, but -
1)Sometimes clicking on it takes me to a totally unrelated page. 2)Even if
successfully installed, that message doesn't go away and I don't notice
anything changed. 3)If it has been installed once, does it need to be
installed every time that "option" appears? 4)Does repetitive installing of
this cause problems? I feel a bit silly questioning this, but no one I know
seems to have any ideas about it. Is Silverlight supposed to actually DO
anything? What? Thank you so much for any info shared...

Hi there,

Check Programs and Features in the control panel to see if you have
Silverlight Beta 2 installed. If so, uninstall it and reinstall Silverlight
from the link you were provided with. I had the same issue and it was
because I had the Beta 2 version installed.

Use this website as test to see if it has solved your problem:
http://memorabilia.hardrock.com/
This website uses Silverlight which is a plug-in that enables features such
as rich media content. The above site wont work without Silverlight as
it uses deep zoom. Check out the official Silverlight page
http://silverlight.net/ for more info!

Hope this helps.
