dotted lines everywhere II

I have the exact same problem as Lee, dotted lines and all. This 638 line document is 638 pages. (See "Dotted lines everywhere" message, 4/12/04.) I tried going into Find and Replace and substituting the page breaks with nothing, but when I did this, I got a message saying that it made zero changes. I also tried using Find to see if it would even recognize the page breaks, and it didn't find any. Apparently, it's not reading the page breaks as page breaks! (Or maybe they're not really page breaks?) Anyway, the document I am trying to work with was sent to me and converted from WordPerfect 6.x. Can someone help?

Perhaps save it as a text file and then copy and paste from it?
