Using Word 2007 to edit text in Publisher 2007
I have recently bought a new computer with Windows 7 Pro (64bit) installed
and now have a problem when editing text from Publisher 2007 in Word 2007. I produce our local church magazine where the main body of the text is Gill Sans 11pt. If I now right click the main body choose Change Text, Edit Story in MS Word, after editing and returning to Publisher all the 11pt text is now 10pt and I have to reformat it all again (this time in Publisher!). Previously I have been using Windows XP Pro with no such problems, so I think it may be a Win 7 problem. Has anyone else had a similar problem or can make suggestions? Many thanks Hugh |

Why aren't you editing the text in Publisher?

Using Word 2007 to edit text in Publisher 2007
Mary
Sorry not to have replied earlier, but have been away!! I use Word rather than Publisher for editing as I have 20 pages all linked. Initially I get the text in differing fonts and sizes and it is easiest to get all 20 pages together in Word to format the text before sorting the items within Publisher; however since having the problem with the font size I have reverted to using Publisher, but now I can only do it 1 page at a time. Using Word 2007 to edit text in Publisher 2007
You need to create a font style, or use one that is already formatted. Once you
have your edited material back into Publisher apply the style. -- Mary Sauer http://msauer.mvps.org/ "Hugh_B" wrote in message news Mary Sorry not to have replied earlier, but have been away!! Using Word 2007 to edit text in Publisher 2007

Thanks for that, using a combination should work OK, but I still do not understand why using Windows 7 causes the font size to change when editing in Word. regards Hugh "Mary Sauer" wrote: You need to create a font style, or use one that is already formatted. I haven't installed Windows 7 yet, there are Windows forums that may give you a
clue. -- Mary Sauer http://msauer.mvps.org/ "Hugh_B" wrote in message ...
