This is a great toaster for the money. If you don't need a toaster with all the fancy features this is the one for you. Toaster works great and is easy to use once controls are figured out.
We used this toaster twice -- both times it filled the kitchen & most of the house with an awful burnt plastic smell. It might go away with more use, but we won't keep it to find out because the left side toasts very unevenly. Waffle came out burnt brown on one edge of one side, and the other side wasn't toasted at all. Our old Krups toaster was also a 4-slice model, and toasted perfectly (until it stopped after 5 years...).
It's a sleek design and a good price. It over toasts easily, and we've burnt several things, but if you keep the setting on "1" you're fine.
I bought this to replace my two-slice toaster when it began to go out, so far so good! funny, I paid $20 for my 2-slice one and only $25 for this one!
I love it, I like the bagel button I like the color but I don't really care about it being plastic on the outside shell,but I guess over all I would buy one just like it over again. It does cook the toast and bagels excellent
