Default Word 2003 Templates with headers and footers "missing"

We recently "upgraded" to Word 2003. In so doing, the
templates have gone haywire. The template will open
without showing the header and footer. This includes forms
newly created in Word 2003. If I unprotect the form-
template and click on view header/footer, they will show
up. I overwrite the template with the new form showing the
header and footer, but it won't reopen with the
header/footer showing. How do I get the header and footer
to remain visible when the form-template opens?

This is a feature introduced in Word 2002, but apparently almost nobody
knows about it. Go to Tools Options View and check "White space between
pages".

Thanks Jay. Some how that was turned off. I'm not sure
how. I just checked my home computer and that feature was
on by default.
