In XP Professional, how do you get the icons from office
to appear at the bottom where they can be easily accessed?

There are a couple of ways:

Copy the shortcuts from:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10
to:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application
Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

or

- Find the shortcut in Start|All Programs
- Copy the shortcut
- Paste to Desktop
- Drag to the QuickLaunch area
