I inherited a document (Word 2003) with "DARFT" as the resulting text
associated under the field name "DOCPROPERTY Revision". The correct text should be "DRAFT". How do I edit this field to show the correct text? |

How do I edit this field to show the correct text? Open the File Properties dialog and go to the Custom tab. You should see the Revision property listed in the Properties box. Click on it, change the Value box, and click the Modify button. Click OK. You may have to right-click the DocProperty field and choose Update Field to make it show the new value. The document's creator probably meant you to use the same kind of procedure to change the Revision field to other values as the document changes, is reviewed, and is approved. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
