Deleting Posts
I have just set up a rule to delete all downloaded posts that are more than
14 days old. I have no problem in that I can see that this has happened but I was expecting to see the deleted posts appear in the Recycle Bin. Do they get wiped straight off the HD or am I missing something here? Thanks for your time and trouble, Mick. |

No recycle bin in OE. But they don't go to Deleted Items either. They
just go. After you are done, follow up by compacting your folders manually while working *offline* and do it often. FileWork Offline (or double click Working Online in the Status Bar). FileFolderCompact all folders. In ToolsOptionsMaintenance: Uncheck Compact messages in background and leave it unchecked. -- Bruce Hagen ~IB-CA~ "Mick" wrote in message ... The rule must be unchecked and applied manually. Make certain you follow up
by compacting all folders whilst "working offline". -- HTH - Please Reply to This Thread ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE/OE), AH-VSOP AumHa Forums http://forum.aumha.org Protect Your PC http://www.microsoft.com/security/protect Mick wrote: I have just set up a rule to delete all downloaded posts that are more than 14 days old.
