In page setup, custom, type your label dimensions, click change copies per
sheet. Type in the margins and the gaps.

I also need to create custom labels and tried your suggestion below. I enter
the label height (.67") and width (1.75"), click the "change copies per
sheet" button, enter the label dimension, but the number across and number
down is not correct and I do not see an option to make those changes. Any
suggestions?

It would be helpful to know how many labels are on each sheet. Is the sheet the
standard letter size? How many across, how many down? Do you have any idea what
brand label you are using?

I am using Avery #8195 Return Address Labels. There are 4 across and 15 down
for a total of 60 labels per sheet. Looking forward to your response. Thank
you!

Default How do I set up a custom size label in Publisher 2003?

Page setup, custom
Width - 1.75
Height - .67

Change copies per sheet

Side Margin - .3
Top Margin - .55
Horizontal gap - .3
Vertical gap - zero

Print a plain sheet of paper first to be sure the labels line up correctly.

These measurements got me closer. I now have 4 across and 15 down, but they
do not print correctly. After the 7th row the printing blends into the label
in the next row. Any other suggestions. You seem to be on the right track.

Thank you again for your help!

Avery has a template for Word you can download. The dimensions I gave you are
from this download. Scroll down.

Printing labels can be painful. Not all printers are created equal. I have to
adjust labels with my color printer, but with my laser the labels are always
correct.
