Question on Frames
Word 2007. If I convert a Text Box to a Frame, I can't seem to match the
size of the frame to that of the text box - there's a large(ish) margin between the top of the text box and the top of the frame. Can I re-size the frame, and if so how? -- Asking a question? Please tell us the version of the application you are asking about, your OS, Service Pack level and the FULL contents of any error message(s)

Question on Frames
I don't quite follow the "there's a large(ish) margin between the top of the
text box and the top of the frame" bit. If you have converted the Text Box to a Frame, why is there still a text box? I've experimented in W2007 and if I create a text box and format it exactly 5 x 5 and then use the Convert to Frame command, it creates a Frame 5 X 5. But resizing a Frame is the same as resizing a Text Box: right-click the edge of the Text Box or Frame and select Format Text Box or Frame. -- Terry Farrell - MSWord MVP "Gordon" wrote in message ... Not sure what you mean here as if you change a text box to a frame, the text
box is *replaced* with the frame, so margins between them would seem unusual? I want to anchor it to the page so I converted it to a frame (textbox doesn't give me the "anchor" function AFAICS). What then happens is that the borders still appear within the frame, but the physical area taken up by the frame itself is bigger than the text box was and so affects the amount of space available. Not by a lot, I grant you, but the document this is on can have very dense text! (And is limited to one page...) -- Asking a question? Turned off Community Features and it works. Community features are

I've put some pictures up on Skydrive - check your msn email for the url. The one called Text box is what I see in the document - the one called Frame is what I see when I click in the frame. If I re-size the frame, then the black outline re-sizes with it.....which is not what I want to happen! I want to re-size the frame to the size of the black outline...
