I am unable to open, remove, repair or reload Outlook. Help?

Default I am unable to open, remove, repair or reload Outlook. Help?

I have Office 2003 on XP-home as upgrade to Office 2000. Only problem was
that Outlook would occasionally ask me for my Office 2000 disk to access the
needed features. I could click my way through the requests without
consequence but decided take care of the problem by removing Office 2000 SR1
from my computer. I used the Add-Remove-Programs. Now I am unable to; open
Outlook, run the Office 2003 disk, remove Office 2003, or repair Office 2003.
Fortunately, my backup is current.
How do I remove, repair, or recover Outlook? The other Office apps seem to
be fine.
