Default how do i stop the cursor disappearing as i type?

When I type in Word (Office Home and Student 2007 version) the pointer goes
away until I stop typing, when it reappears. This is different to previous
versions and Wordpad, etc, where the cursor simply moves right as I type. How
do I change back to this?

That's a mouse setting (Hide Pointer While I Type) and not a Word setting.

To bring up mouse properties

Windows Key + R (Opens Run)
Then type "control.exe mouse"
