Default set default style for footnote

I rec'd a document where the footnotes are done in
different styles. The default style of all new footnotes
is not the style the user wants. How can I set a new
default style for all FUTURE INSERTED footnotes? I know
how to change existing footnotes.

Modify the Footnote Text style to the way you want it and
apply it to the existing footnotes; all new footnotes
will be formatted the same way when you add them.

And if you want to use the modified Footnote Text style for future
documents, create a template including that style definition.
Alternatively, modify the template you are currently using.
