Default Changing Page Numbers

MS Word 2002. I have a 36 page document (booklet) that I
want to have page #1 on physical page 3. I have tried
using Section Break to insert a break, but except for
Continuous, they insert a blank page, which I do not
want. Changing the page number didn't work anyhow.

With my insertion point on page 3, I inserted Continuous
Break. Then, when I insert page number, I choose to start
page numbering at #1. It places page #1 on physical page
1, and physical page 3 has page #3.

Without using section break, I tried placing my insertion
point on page 3 and inserting page number to start at
page #1.

What am I doing wrong? How can I get page numbering to
start on page 3, as page #1. I tried looking for
articles, but what I found did not work.

Thanks.
