Default how do I hide table grid lines in Word 2007

The answer given by Peter does not solve my problem. In Word 97 I was able to
hide table grid lines, now in Word 2007 there appears not to be this option.
The show/hide grid lines in Word 2007 appears to be for guide lines for
typing text into a table cell. How do I hide table table grid lines in Word
2007?

stewartnmij,
I do not know what answer Peter gave you but you tried going to the Layout
contextual tab on the ribbon and click the show gridlines button in the
table group.

If you mean borders - Ctrl+Alt+u

If you do mean Gridlines, which is Word 2007 appear as lines of blue dashes,
then click on the View Gridlines button in the Table section of the Layout
tab of the Table Tools.

Hope this helps.

Default BLUE DASHES IN WORD 2007 TABLE

Thank you so much for your reply. I sent a document to someone in our office which had several tables which had to be filled out. When he got the document there were no blue dashes and he couldn't figure out where to type. I went all over the net until I found your reply. Again, thank you.
