Page numbers not correct

Before anyone gripes about the question, yes I have searched through this
newsgroup, and Micorosft's web site, and didn't find an answer.

I am trying to add Page X of Y in my header. It looks correct on the
screen, and in Print Preview. However, when I print, I get Page 1 of 1,
Page 2 of 2, etc. However, if I have it at the top of the page outside the
header, it works correctly. How can I get my page numbers to print
correctly? Alternatively, is there I way to automatically put the page
number in the upper right of each page, as Page X of Y? I tried Insert Page
Numbers/ Header, Alignment Right, but that doesn't give me the "of Y" format
option.
