Default Macros disabled message

Sometimes I get this "Macros Disabled", but sometimes I
don't. I'm getting it right now, and it's driving me
crazy, how do I get rid of it?

Default Macros disabled message

I need to know this also. I'm working in a large excel worksheet that I
designed. The only macro is one assigned to a drop down box with
selects fiscal quarter. everytime I input data into a new cell, I get
a message stating macros are disabled. I can not find information
anywhere as to how to enable them!!

Help!

I would assume your ToolsOptionsSecurity is at "High".

Workbooks with unsigned macros will get the "disabled" message.

Those that have been signed will open with no message and be enabled.

Lower your security level to "medium" and you will only get the prompt to
enable or disable.

If for your own use on your computer, see help on certificates which leads you
to using SelfCert which can be used to create a digital certificate.
