Default Upgrade Outlook2000 to 2007 PLUS education suggestion request

All Outlook Beta 2007 users,
I bought a new tablet PC and installed Office 2007 beta and OneNote 2007
Beta on it without having had any previous version of Office software on this
machine. So far, so good.

I now need to move my Outlook2000 information from my previous laptop to the
new machine. I searched this forum to try to catch any posts that cover this
but even though there are none specific to this scenario it is clear you have
to do this with care. I can transfer old info over the network, burn a CD, or
use a USB key. That’s the easy part.

There will be a few pieces of information and e-mails in the new computer’s
..pst file, but I am willing to have those overwritten. I connect through a
POP server at my ISP and don’t use MAPI.

I run Outlook to get the integration with OneNote to help with managing
information typical of elementary school teaching: discipline issues that
must be logged and kept filed by student, IEP documentation, parent phone
calls, student contact/birthday info, mailings, permission forms, etc. If
anyone reading this has suggestions about those tasks or others that will
help a teacher please pass them along. I used to use InfoSelect for these
needs, but will give Office2007 (“12”) a shot this year.

Education ideas could go to
Jonathan7007 (at) yahoo (dot) com.

Thanks, everyone!

Jonathan
