Default Dropped calls

When I call a contact and use the speaker on my modem to talk, after a few
minutes the call will be dropped. I have not been able to find a setting in
Outlook 2003 or in Device Manager. Can you help me. Thanks

The Windows dialer (which is what Outlook uses) has no way to switch over to
a voice call.
