send messages error

Hello friends,
I'm using the Outlook XP and having a problem in account configuration.
All settings of my count is ok but when I try to check my configuration the
folowing messages is showed: send error - verify your e-mail address
The curious is that if I try send a message from inbox, the message is sent
and received by the right sent address. I mean, only in the test of the
account settings there is the error, but in the normal operation everithing
is good.
I'd like to correct it, even is not as big problem. Maybe an Outlook bug...I
dont know.
This problem occurred after a virus infecction im my PC.
I tryed to remove the Outlook and reinstal it, but the error is still there.
