Groove will not uninstall
Laptop with Vista x32 enterprize edition.
Reason for wanting to uninstall: Every time windows shuts down it gives a a Groove error saying something to the effect that a file is open - even when no file was ever open in that session. It gives the error every time. It gave the error even after an uninstall and reinstall. Now (after making a new account on other machines I want to try it again. The attempt to uninstall: Exited Groove. There is no icon in the tray. Two obvious groove process in Task Manger were manually closed. An attempt in "Uninstall or change program" resulted in a message to the effect that something was wrong and it needed to be repaired. I ran setup from the CD hoping that would open to an option to reair. It didn't, instead it completed as if it were doing a first time install. The current attempts at a uninstall in "Uninstall or change program" results in what appears to be the install/uninstall screen for a split second, then comes this error message: "Setup could not find any available products to install. Please contact your administator" What next? -- dbuchanan |
