Default Sending link from IE to OE

This hasn't happened to me for a long time, so I forget how it was solved
before. I wanted to send a link from IE to OE, but got a message "No
profiles have been created. . . . " I have IE 7.0 and OE6.

Tip: If you don't use MS Outlook or its Calendaring functions, Remove it
from your install of MS Office to avoid such problems in future.

1. See http://www.oehelp.com/oedef.aspx; then see...

2a. http://www.oehelp.com/oelnk.aspx and/or...

2b. Start | Settings | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | Set Program
Access and Defaults | Click on the downward-pointing arrows to the right of
the configuration that's already checked | Email: Select "Outlook Express"
here (not "Use my current...").

Are you referring to File | Send | Link By E-mail while in a Web page? OE
may not be recognized as the default e-mail program.

Make OE the default e-mail client:
http://www.oehelp.com/oedef.aspx

For links in e-mail:
http://www.oehelp.com/oelnk.aspx

And:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=306098

Restores OE to the E-mail clients list in Internet Options
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_desc/oe_client.htm

If you have MS Outlook installed, also see:
http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#13
