Default OE on two computers

Using XPHome. Two-part question. I have a wireless network in my home
using two laptops (#1 & #2) with IE6 on both. My goal is to be able to
RECEIVE all of the same email messages on both computers so my husband and I
can each read incoming mail. Addionally, we would like to be able SEND
messages from each laptop #1 so that sent mail shows on both computers as
well. However, if sent messages cannot be done this way, would appeciate
help on just the receive message part. Can any of this two-part request
this be done? If so, how do we set this up? All help is greatly
appreciated. Thank you in advance, Fran.

You can have all users/PCs download all message from a POP3 mail server
by selecting Tools, Accounts, Mail, Properties, Advanced, Leave a copy
of messages on the server in all users/PCs. One or more of the
users/PCs should be set to delete messages from the server after a few
days or else the server mail account will eventually fill. However,
Sent messages will only be saved on the sending user/PC.

If your mail service offers IMAP mail server access, that is the way to
go. IMAP is designed for a single mail account to be shared by multiple
PCs. The IMAP mail is managed at the mail server.

In addition to Michael's information, my OEX program (www.oehelp.com/OEX/)
has a feature that allows one to import the messages from a dbx file across
a network, so you could synchronize the sent items folders between the two
computers that way. It will also remove any duplicate messages.
