How do I move all messages and address book to another computer

Hello all,

How do I move all messages and address book to another
computer. I want to move from OE 4.72 to OE6.

I just bought a new HP with all the works( XP home) from
an old p166(Win98). The old computer does not have a cd
writer, just a floppy.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a good back up program, but I doubt it will fit on a floppy:

If you have both computer connected to the Net, you can send the back up to
the new computer using AIM. I would, if I were you, however, update your OE
4.72 to OE6 before doing the back up.

The address book is a wab file. Search for that. I think there are =
some issues with importing it from OE4, but you can try File | Import | =
Address book and try doing that.

The message store for OE4 is located in a subdirectory called "Mail" and =
consists of idx and mbx files. You need to copy all those that you want =
into a subdirectory called "Mail" on the new machine. Then use File | =
Import | Messages and choose OE4 format and then point to the directory =
that is parent to the "Mail" directory. If the import doesn't work, you =
can use MBXtract to extract the emails from the mbx files and then drag =
them from WInExplorer into an open OE folder. www.oehelp.com/MBXtract/
